About the Author
Dr. Ed Neukrug received his doctorate in counselor education from the University of Cincinnati and is currently the chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling at Old Dominion University. In addition to his teaching, Dr. Neukrug has worked as a counselor at a street-front, walk-in crisis center; an outpatient therapist at a mental health center; an associate school psychologist; a school counselor; and a private practice psychologist and licensed professional counselor.
