This book was well-liked by all who read it. Reading the description, it's hard to make sense of how this novel works--but it's excellent. It may start slow but it's worth sticking with.

There is a far greater focus on the history of the Vietnam conflict than reviews may lead you to believe. It was a challenging book to get through for several of us, but still an interesting read.

This book takes place on the Old West Side of Ann Arbor. Recognizing landmarks is (for Ann Arborites) an entertaining counterpoint to the tension in the novel.

What happens when a pair of animal lovers open their home to a menagerie of creatures, having done little research on the species they take in? Chaos. And this funny book about it.
