![]() | Blind Faith by Blind Faith
Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $3.98 1969 - Steve Winwood of Traffic and Eric Clapton of Cream release an unbelieveable album of slow blues jams. Had To Cry Today and Can't Find My Way Home are instant classics. Too bad this was the bands only effort.
![]() | Come Taste the Band by Deep Purple
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $9.17 1975 - 1975 a year of internal turmoil for the mighty Purple machine. Blackmore out, enter American Tommy Bolin, a virtuoso that predates Eddie Van Halen, the band release a jazzy fusion sounding album unlikes the band had done up til then, and ever since then. Beautiful album. RIP Tommy, job well done.

![]() | Together - Live by Edgar and Johnny Winter
Buy new: $19.98 / Used from: $10.99 1976 - Edgar and Johnny Winter have collaborated many a times on each other's own albums, but this is the first and only album billed as Johnny and Edgar Winter - Together. A superb live offering if a bit short of playing time featuring Rick Derringer also on guitar.
![]() | Black Rose: A Rock Legend by Thin Lizzy
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $7.22 1979 - 1978 you've just released a live album that catipulted you into stardom, and you sack your ace guitarist. Fortunately for the boys, Gary Moore steps in, and the band release their fireiest album to date. This album smokes, check out Gary's solo on Toughtest Street in Town you'll know what I mean.
![]() | Lovedrive by Scorpions
Buy used from: $42.99 1979 - Ex UFO guitar GOD re-joined the Scorpions (albiet very briefly but)long enough to ignite their commercially successful album, spawning 3 concert staples to this day. Lovedrive, Holiday, and Coast to Coast. The band and Schenker had continued success after this release but you never know what else could have been mustarded up.
![]() | Down to Earth by Rainbow
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $4.99 1980 - A Dio-less Rainbow released Down to Earth, an incredible album that still had one foot firmly planted in the 70's Dio era and the other foot stepping ahead into the commercial sound of the 80's. Too bad Graham Bonnet was sacked after the tour.
![]() | Whitford/St. Holmes by Whitford
Buy used from: $46.45 1981 - Derek St.Holmes of Ted Nugent Band and Brad Whitford, fresh off of leaving Aerosmith team up for this rocker that cooks from beginning to end. One listen to this and you'll know Brad Whitford is Aerosmith's secret weapon. Too bad they never followed this up.
![]() | Hughes/Thrall by Glenn Hughes
Buy new: $23.98 / Used from: $6.30 1982 - Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple teams up with Pat Thrall of Pat Travers Band for this earlu 80's mixture of rock and synths. An awesome listen and surprisingly enough sounds so fresh even listening to today.
![]() | Another Perfect Day by Motörhead
Buy new: $19.98 / Used from: $19.75 1983 - In 1982 Motorhead enlisted the talents of one ex-Thin Lizzy guitar God Brian Robinson to help finish the Iron Fist tour. Once done, the band entered the studio and this melodic masterpiece was created. Yes you heard me melodic. This is the Best ever Motorhead album ever, and the bonus live disc to boot is a treasure.
![]() | Through the Fire by Hagar Schon Arronson Shrieve
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $5.09 1984 - Sammy Hagar and Neal Schon. Wow the possibilities. Unfortunately theres a little magic on this effort. Now if these guys were to reunite now, 25 years after this collection, it would be an all out balls rocker.
![]() | Odyssey by Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force
Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $3.87 1988 - So this is really not a stylistic change for the Swede guitar God, but adding Joe Lynn Turner to the mic so a great addition, and provided what would be Malmsteens greatest commercial success. Only more albums with this line up could have made Rising Force huge.
![]() | Slip of the Tongue by Whitesnake
Buy used from: $0.59 1989 - Ok, I know I'll get the roll of the eyes over this one, but c'mon Steve Vai playing in Whitesnake. This cd is pretty damn good, I don't care what others say. And oh yeah, that crap about Vai copying the guitar playing note for note...yeah right, I wssn't born yesterday. Wish Vai could've continued on with this band.
![]() | Tall Stories by Tall Stories
Buy new: $19.98 / Used from: $2.69 1991 - Steve Augeri fronted this band years before he fronted Journey. This is the bands only album, and it's pretty good, kinda like Mr. Big / Journey-ish.
![]() | Sex & Religion by Steve Vai
Buy used from: $2.83 1993 - Vai released an instrumental epic 3 years before this, so instead of building on that success Vai took to left field with a full band and vocalist. And you know what, it's a killer cd. An acquired taste for many, but unique and one-of-a-kind coming from Vai
![]() | Native Tongue by Poison (Artist)
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $0.95 1993 - Poison brought in young virtuoso Richie Kotzen in the band, and believe it or not, he took over the musical direction. His influence and stamp are all over this, and it's excellent from beginning to end. Also it continues to be a fan favorite to this day, which will never likely happen again.
![]() | The Beavis and Butt-Head Experience by Various Artists
Buy used from: $0.01 1993 - OK I know there was a movie and a soundtrack to that movie, but it just wasnt the same. This is a hilarious cd. I Got You Babe is the highlight, but White Zombie, RHCP, and Anthrax all provide great songs.
![]() | Motley Crue by Mötley Crüe
Buy used from: $3.74 1994 - Out with the old (Vince Neil) and in with the new (John Corabi), the Crue delivered a whoolop of an album. Tommy Lee goes gonzo Bonham on the drums, and Corabi screams Hooligan's Holiday...this is a killer cd, too bad the band sacked Corabi prior to Generation Swine.
![]() | A Thousand Faces by Joey Vera
Buy used from: $9.95 1994 - By 1994 Armored Saint was no more. What Joey Vera to do? Release a solo album...and is this unique not only does in rock, it is a moody, dark little gem of an album. A keeper since 1996 in my collection. One of a kind album.
![]() | Around the Next Dream by BBM
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $3.92 1994 - You know this is really more or less a Gary Moore solo cd. Jack Bruce sings a few numbers, and what a surprise, 2 of them sound like exact copies of White Room and Sunshine of your Love, each with their own Claton-esque guitar licks and solos courtesy of Gary Moore.
![]() | Pride & Glory (With Bonus CD) by Pride & Glory
Buy used from: $6.80 1994 - What does Zakk Wylde do with himself now that Ozzy was retired after his No More Tours tour? Why make a southern-fried kick arse stompin' record. Zakk shows off his love for The Allmans and Skynyrd the only way he knows how, playing and singing his heart out.
![]() | The Experience Sessions by Noel Redding
Buy new: $15.98 / Used from: $0.96 2004 - Released almost immediately after the death of Noel Redding, this is an interesting collection of Noel's creative input into the JH Experience. It shows off that Noel was no one-trick pony and he also didn't play 2nd banana to the great Hendrix. Noel plays lead on almost all tracks and sings while Jimi assists with the bass and rhythm guitar. Pretty cool cd for the hardcore fans.
![]() | Acoustic Cuts by Richie Kotzen
Buy used from: $74.47 2004 - Richie Kotzen shows us he is no one-trick pony, something I had known since his Poison days. This cd is a treat to the ears, as it's simply Richie's voice and an acoustic guitar. Amazing renditions of selected solo tracks. Worth every cent.
