Doing the research for this book and sitting down to write it were two of the most delightful experiences I've had in a long time. Whenever there was any controversy about any of my evaluations, I checked them out thoroughly with local residents, who invariably told me that, if anything, I was too generous in my praise and too mild in my criticism. Don't miss the short story. It was inspired by a priest that I had the pleasure of playing an impromptu round with one day at the Makai Courses in Princeville.

About the Author
Dan O'Connor started playing golf at the age of nine, nearly fifty years ago. Since then he has enjoyed countless rounds of golf, many of them--especially during the last two decades--on Kauai. Having majored in architecture in college, written for a living and been blessed with a keen eye for photography he provides a unique perspective from which to evaluate the courses and restaurants. He also loves to eat at fine restaurants for a reasonable price. He has played every course and eaten at every restaurant evaluated by him countless times.
