Acetyl L-Carnitine is the acetyl ester of L-Carnitine, and is a source of both L-Carnitine and an acetyl group. In its role as a precursor for the formation of acetylcholine (an important neurotransmitter), this compound help enhance cognitive functions.

This nutrient also facilitates the transport of long-chain fatty acids to enable beta-oxidation and energy generation, thus enhancing physical performance. Poor packaging from Amazon. Had to cancel
3 times in a row I ordered this andeach time the glass bottles were shattered. I contacted Amazon customer service and they made good on the order (replaced twice then refunded the last time). I could not get them to package the glass containers adequately and they were not concerned that I had to order the item from someone else.

ps- the last two orders contained two GLASS bottles with NO PACKING MATERIAL AT ALL IN THE CARTON! Of course it was going to break.

Energy fro Within
I have used Carnitine for several years both in training for bodybuilding and triathlons and found that it provides me with endurance type energy without feeling wired. I can just keep going and going and really enjoy my workouts. It is energy from the cellular level within the body and not a glycemic spike. I found that my energy level was consistant throughout my workouts and was there if I needed it.

Product arrived, but bottle was shattered and pills mixed with glass
I have not yet gotten to requesting a replacement, but this product arrived, the box in good shape, but the bubble wrapped jar of pills was shattered.The cap to the jar is literally wedged down inside the cracked jar, almost such that it is hard to believe this happened by accident.

Vendor, I think you have a disgruntled employee.

No way will I take this product or pay for it, but let's hope Amazon is honorable and sends me a replacement. The pills are mized in with glass fragments and have a residue on some of them.

Before I bought the product I read another review with the same complaint,and he said it happened 3 times. I thought it was either a fluke or just a guy with a grude against the company, but no, I assure you, I am a real customer and this thing arrived shattered.

This suggests they have definate problems, and yet after the original bad review I would have expected this problem to be fixed by now.

I will update my comment when this is resolved, but am angry that I now have to waste my time setting things in motion.
