Almost like the real thing!
I purchased these glasses to take along on trips so I don't have to use the flimsy plastic glasses you so often get in hotel rooms. My travel companions and I are wine idiots who often have a bottle of wine in the room in the evenings. These glasses fill the bill of a good sized and shaped glass, especially for red wine, that is also relatively attractive and sturdy. The plastic is quite clear, but has enough imperfections that you wouldn't confuse it with glass. I was a little put off by the lack of rigidity in the stem, but it doesn't seem to make the glass unstable. All-in-all, for the price, these glasses serve my purpose nicely, although they are a bit large for packing in your luggage. They are a good quality product that you can use without fear of braking and wash in the dishwasher. This company does make other sizes/shapes of wine glasses that you should investigate, if these seem to large.

Ideal for outdoor usage
For $20, this was an experiment for use in outdoor gatherings with friends; taken on their maiden voyage last night, the glasses impressed the group as well as myself. Many had to touch the "glass" themselves to prove that it wasn't the real thing. Yes, if you look for it, you can see a thin seam, but for casual use, these are great! Slightly thicker than a lead glass stem, the wine experience isn't the same as drinking out of a normal glass, but not worrying about dropping a $25 stem makes it all worth it!

GREAT GLASSES
Got these for my daughter to have for use around her pool--she loves them. I like them too as they are so real looking and not "clunky" like most plastic glasses.
