The claim to not cost you a ticket is obviously B.S.!
I got pulled over and issued a $125 ticket for "obstruction" of a license plate - because two letters were blurry. I have been driving for 9 years and never received a ticket or citation for ANYTHING except this. I haven't tried the spray, but if it doesnt blur the letters it might be worth the investment. DO NOT BUY THE PHOTO BLOCKER COVER it's VERY OBVIOUSLY BLURRY - you almost have to FIND an angle that ISNT blurry - which is straight on......cops dont always ride behind you - they ride in your blind spot - with a clear shot of the blurry angle! Don't waste your money on this or it could cost you as much as 3-4 times as much. However, I guess I'd recommend it if you have received numerous red light tickets in the mail or you run redlights every day. I give this product a 1 out of 10 cuz for a Daily redlight runner, it'll cost you less per police issued ticket, than the cameras can spit out daily.

Excellent product
We have phantom plates on both our cars. No way, no how would we EVER run a red light or not pay a toll. We got these because they put in a red light camera near our house and when you turn right (legally) on red, the camera goes off. We're not waiting to get a ticket in the mail.

The Photoshield cover is lightweight and easy to install. It operates exactly as advertised - when you look at your plate from directly in back of your car you can see all the digits, but viewed at any type of angle, two of the digits are blurred. Another bonus is that it covers the renewal sticker on your plate so no one can scrape it off and steal it. The company has excellent customer service (my photoshield arrived scratched and they shipped me another one free).

We park outside on city streets where police give tickets for the slightest infraction and have not received a ticket for having these plates.
