Customer Reviews
excellent flotation toy
The double ring construction prevents, if not reduces, tip/roll overs. It also allows the infant/toddler to be in contact of the water through the mesh lining connecting the two rings. I bought two (for twins) for the secure feeling I got from the double ring construction, and the canopy for shade. My kids were kicking in the water and splashing their arms in no time. For 14-15 dollars, they are an excellent buy. I tried other makes and was not happy with them. I took them with us on vacation; they fold rather flat. I have not used it in open waters; pool only. My kids were able to lean forward and put their face in the water; they never flipped. The tubes are not wide or high; allows kids close contact with water; this was very important to me. The strap connecting the canopy was a bit long, so the canopy hung low. I resolved this issue by tying a few knots to shorten it. Still an excellent buy even with this short coming.
Float is fine, sunshade is useless
This float is fine, but don't bother if you are getting it for the sunshade aspect. It doesn't stay up or work at all so we just used it as a float which was fun, but not why I purchased it. I bought it for the canopy so I could've saved myself a few bucks by just getting a float without the canopy.
Not as practical as it looks
I got it for my 8 months old son. Overall it looks nice, and is easy to inflate. However, there are two main flaws.
1) It does not provide enough flotation support for the baby - the baby tends to tilt forward a lot, with his face very close to the water, so I essentially had to hold his legs all the time to prevent the tilt.
2) The ties to secure the canopy are not properly designed, so the canopy does not stay up, especially when wet.
