There are many ways to cut your grass, but once you've used this Swisher, it's the only way.

This top-of-the-line mower has everything but air conditioning: an unbelievable cutting swath, more horsepower than you thought possible, a zero turn radius, a V-twin engine and a seat comfortable enough for Monday Night Football.

Where to start? It's all extraordinary, but what stands out most to us is the whopping 25 horsepower Briggs & Stratton V-twin engine. Most riding mowers have somewhere in the 13- to 18 HP range, so we were duly impressed with the awesome power here. Even better, it handles like a dream: responsive, beautifully maneuverable and exceedingly nimble.

That kind of horsepower and its ensuing vehicle speed of up to 6 mph already cuts your mowing time significantly, but it's paired with an unheard-of 60-inch cutting swath to get you off the mower even faster. Three acres? You'll be done in no time, and with professional-quality results. Everybody loves the zero turn radius, of course, because you can get into tight spots, get right up to planting beds and other landscape features and get gorgeous results. There are eight cutting height settings, from 1-1/2 to 5 inches, and changing the height is no trouble at all, because the deck lift is spring-assisted.

And from where we were sitting, comfort takes no back seat to performance. The seat's got a great high back and even armrests, adjusts for legroom, and everything you need to control the cut is right at your fingertips, so there's no stretching, no awkward positions - it's just that easy to operate. (Did we mention fun?)

The fit and finish are outstanding; the welded deck is made of 11-gauge steel, and the whole unit weighs just over 900 pounds. A Mechanical Engineer's Review of the ZTR2560
As a mechanical engineer, my primary concern when first seeing a brochure for the Swisher ZTR2560 was the stamped steel frame as opposed to a frame welded up from structural tubing as featured in other mowers on the market. After seeing the mower in person at a local dealer, I needn't have worried. This machine has a frame stamped from heavy gage steel and has all of the strength and ridgity one could expect from a welded tubing frame.

The engine and hydraulic drive units are from well known manufacturers and the build quality is excellent. The mower arrived at my door in a well designed shipping crate that fully protected it duriing shipping and it was full of oil and ready to go upon arrival. All I had to do was put gasoline in the tanks and it started right up.

This machine is everything I expected and more and I am completely satisfied with my purshase.

Don't even think about spending this much or almost this much on anything else
I have had this for about a week now. I am planning to add another review later.

It amazes me that there are "ordinary" lawnmowers that sell for near the price of this beast. When riding on this lawnmower and chopping down grass like crazy you will realize why other companies can charge twice this price or more for these two handle zero turn mowers. You realize you are on a serious machine. And knowing that you got it from Swisher and Amazon and saved a bundle is just icing on the cake.

Don't let the price fool you, the Swisher is a real big boy mower, very tough. The crate that this comes in is huge. This is a very nice machine. All of the steel is very thick commercial looking stuff. Even the grass chute is thick heavy duty steel.

It cuts like a champ. Admittedly its winter now and the grass has died, but I just mowed about a acre of 3ft tall weeds in about 1/2 hour. I had grass flying everywhere. The swath you cut with a 60" wide deck is incredible. This machine is very manuverable and very fast.

Excellent value for the price
After looking at every model out there for months, I decided on the Swisher ZT2560. It does a beautiful job on the 3.X acres I mow, and even the unmowed grass doesn't stall it. Delivery was fast and easy, and it comes cully assembled and crated.
For the price, this is a must-buy. Fast, easy to use, excellent cut. Perfect!
