Small Group for Leadership by the Book
We used Leadership by the Book for a small group study at our church. What a great resource for bringing together business type folks in a small group setting.

It was quite remarkable to see on the dvd these highly successful business leaders sharing their thoughts, doubts and struggles to find real meaning in their work. The dvd did an excellent job of setting up the discussion questions and topics and that really got people talking.

The booklet with the dvd leads you through a topic/question format and then provokes you to write down what you will practically do to change your life. We found that this simple method worked very well to keep everybody on task and accomplish some good work in a short amount of time ... this is very important for teaching busy business people.

One question really hit home for people: "What did you with what God gave you to work with?"

Shame on ME! I didn't read the editor's review. I saw the name Ken Blanchard, reconized him from his minute manager series and thought it would be a good choice for my diverse group. IT'S NOT! Unless you are a fundamentalist Christian who wants to hear a constant barrage faith-based drivel and mind-numbing jesusisms - this DVD is not for you. I will give Blanchard credit for finding the handful of leaders who aren't greed driven. Hmmm, wonder what their employees think?
