Traditional Beauty
Oedo Sukeroku has a long history, and this specific group of players shows that. Every body movement is calculatated and refined to a perfection not common in most taiko groups. This DVD includes such Sukeroku-style classics as the widely copied Yodan, Shiraume and Matsuri. It also includes a variation (called Midare in the DVD) of Obon festival drumming from Tokyo.

On the downside, some of the camera work and editing is not up to professional standards. However, this is a keeper for any taiko fan.
