Editorial Reviews

Review
"The authors explain how to recruit a retreat-planning team that will consider the variety of needs in a congregation, from the newcomer to the woman in crisis. Like a wedding planner, it has a helpful countdown to the event, with things to do beginning with six months from the date. But the most helpful section is the one on sample retreat themes, complete with scripts for skits that are actually funny, and ideas for decorations and entertainment." (Lexington Herald-Leader )

"This book is unabashedly practical and could well save a planning committee hours of unproductive work. It contains all you need to plan an effective women's retreat." (www.christianstandard.com )

"This practical planner gives nuts-and-bolts tips on how to put together a weekend women's retreat, from selecting an inspirational speaker to picking accommodations to figuring out the budget." (Robin Galiano Russell Arts & Media )

Customer Reviews

Started out Great, Ended Not so Great3
This author of this book did an excellent job explaining how to set up a retreat, however, it would have been better if it would have focused more on the spiritual aspects of a retreat as opposed to rodeos.

WM Book Better3
This book was helpful. However I found another book I purchased just as helpful if not more so. Building an Effective WM, loved this book.
