About the Author
Frank Nielsen is a self-described "ocean nut" born in Bountiful, Utah. He learned to love watersports while a teenager, when his family was posted to Beirut. Later he earned a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering and worked for the U.S. Navy until 2000, when he became a full-time cartographer and map publisher.

Good map
We bought this map to take with us for a one day stop on Cozumel on a cruise. This was our second time there & we wanted to explore the island. The map was perfect for this. It was very detailed and made getting around the island very easy. Great map at a good price.

Great map - LOTS of information!
I wish I had taken the time to search for this map BEFORE I went to Cozumel, instead of finding it (in laminated form) at the airport on the way out. I bought one on the spot for the friend who took me there, then ordered this folded format one (much easier to use, a little smaller, but less durable) for myself, in anticipation of a return trip.

This map clearly shows ALL the snorkeling and dive spots with information on access, dive difficulty, parking, fish you are likely to see and non-acquatic attractions of the island. It is the useful info you would get from an experience and friendly local, not the tourist bureau "It's all wonderful!" you get with the handout maps. Well worth the price!

Great map!
This map was really helpful on our recent trip to Cozumel. Good detail, nice color, and it showed the different reefs for snorkeling. It even identified the different fish we saw.
