Introduction to Botany. A course you'll be unlikely to take at most colleges, but required to satisfy the "Biology Core Requirements" at my school.

General Chemistry. A course you'll need to take early in your premed studies. Not only is it the foundation for med school required organic chemistry, but most upper level biology courses list chemistry in some form as a prerequisite.

Genetics. Now that we're done with core requirements, we get into the nitty-gritty of biology. Genetics will be required at most schools, and one of the more difficult science classes you'll take.

Microbiology. The exploration of the roles of prokaryots in human life. Emphasis on bacteriology, immunology, and virology.

Developmental Biology. A study of the fundamental patterns and principles of animal growth and development at the molecular, cellular, and organismal levels.

Introduction to Evolutionary Biology. An introduction to the study of evolution including a summary of the stratigraphic record, an historical summary of the earth, a review of major contributions to evolutionary theory, and a summary of the factors thought to cause evolutionary change.

Biochemistry. A required course and the last aspect of the chemistry track. Expect to cover the intermediate metabolism of amino acids, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and lipids.

Biology of Aging. My second science elective. General study of biological/physiological changes over time in the structure and function of the systems of organisms with emphasis on the human body.

General Physics. Again, typically broken into two courses over a year. Required for all premed majors.

It's never too early to begin studying for the MCAT. Examkrackers materials are typically regarded as the best study aid.
