A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
We just watched "Tantric Massage for Lovers" in full and think it is fantastic! As a husband/wife counseling team, we were hugely impressed. It is beautifully filmed: set, lighting, and models who feel like real people in real relationships. Most especially, we loved the pace. The pace really invites the viewer into the magic of timelessness. We kept thinking of couples we work with and imagining how they might respond to
the DVD. It is one thing for us to encourage and coach "take your time", and entirely another for our clients to have the opportunity to SEE what taking one's time might actually look like. The guiding narration by Steve and Lokita Carter complements the easy to follow along with and tasteful visuals. This program is a significant contribution to the Tantra archives.

Tantric Massage for Lovers
Content - excellent. Demonstrations - beautiful. Setting - romantic. Instruction - easy to follow. My partner and I use many of the things we learned from this DVD in our lovemaking, and it has enriched our relationship greatly. I have already recommended it to many of my friends, and will take a workshop with the presenters shortly.
I guess what I like the most about the DVD is the authenticity and genuineness of the people in it - the models as well as Steve and Lokita Carter. These are real people, just like us!
Unprofessional home video...
I was very disappointed with this two DVD set. What I was expecting was a professional presentation with step by step instruction on how to do sensual massage. Instead, this was like a home video with very normal looking people massaging each other without any particular technique.
This is not a professional step by step detailing specific techniques to use for each particular body part such as what to do on the back, legs etc. it just has instruction such as "massage his legs" and shows someone just doing any old thing on a partner's legs. Having watched professional massage instruction videos before - this leaves a lot to be desired.
I got the feeling that this was made at someone's house, a friend on the video camera type of job.
Although the DVD is divided into sections and does have a lot of information in length itself, it is mostly made up of an interview with the creators about tantra, and then the massage demonstrations - female and male. The massages start with bonding rituals, which are very long and if you feel like just watching the massage portion, it is not possible to skip to that part.
I found the male massage in particular to be offensive (I am female). It made me very uncomfortable as there wasn't a "professional model" feeling about it; the man was overweight and balding with a ponytail, certainly not someone I enjoyed watching naked in a state of arousal and the male voice over sounded sleazy with unprofessional language use. It gave no instruction on massage technique whatsoever, just showed a naked lady giving a naked man a full body oil rub down with no particular skill nor any focus on what to do on erogenous zones. I felt like I was watching the "older couple next door" with no particular skill set, not professional teachers in an instructional video. I really wish now that I hadn't seen this part of the DVD as it has indelibly etched an unpleasant image on my mind that I shall be hard pressed to rid myself of...this should have had a warning, if you have never seen an overweight balding man naked before - do not get this DVD as you may be unpleasantly suprised.
