Customer Reviews
amazing race-ok, not what I expected
we are big amazing race fans, thought this would be a blast to play with my family. it's ok, but lacks variety in the "challenges" presented and wasn't as interactive as I had hoped.
Fun game for many, suggestion for improvement
Our whole family (even members who have never seen the TV show) has really enjoyed playing this game (out of 4 DVD games given at Christmas, this is the only one that has been repeatedly played).
As has been frequently cited in the posted reviews, the final leg format diminishes some of the fun at the end of the game (why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars). My suggestion for the creators would be to have the team select their multiple choice answer much like the answer is selected for the "Team Think" where the selection isn't visible on the TV screen. Using the remote control's up, down, left, or right arrows would continue to allow the 4 multiple choice options.
To the engineers, designers and creators of the game: this DVD seemlessly flows between options and keeps track of each team's location within the game amazingly well while injecting the energy, scenes from past shows, and great int'l locations which make AR so entertaining. Great game!
What I expected and still alot of fun.
I Figured a DVD format would have to be limited and except for the joint "last leg" complaints I thought the game was alot of fun. Worked best in our normal group of 4 couples and keeping people from cheating was half the fun. We had a blast playing and being an after Christmas bargain at 12 bucks, I thought it was a steal.
