Light weight book for beginners only
I have read and worked through the exercises in this book. The book has 11 chapters. The number of pages in these chapters is about 278. However, once you subtract the chapter title pages, the questions page at the end of each chapter, and the suggested additional exercises, the actual content of the book is about 220 pages. Furthermore, in every chapter the author is using one full page to repeat "how to start Autocad from scratch." The page layout and the size of the pictures are such that the actual content of this book could have fitted within 100 pages. It takes about two full days to work through this book. This means that you will learn only the very basics. There are some mistakes in the book. The publisher has no errata in the book or on their web site. Summa summarum: this book is amateurish and is not worth the money. I expect that the same is true with the other books from this author. My book was the 2008 Tutorial and he would have had ample time to revise his writing style as the first books were published many years ago.
