Love these!
We bought Baby Gund blankets for our two daughters when they were born. When our sons were born, I immediately looked for Baby Gund blankets for them. (Blue bear for one, and yellow lion for the other one.)

It's super soft of top, and all silky on the bottom.

The kids use them differently, during each stage of their growth;
blanket for newborns, warm extra cover up for toddlers, cuddle bear for preschoolers...
My two older ones use the blankets as pillows now.

Very durable. I didn't have gentle cycle or hand wash on my first washing machine, so I just washed it on a regular cycle. After 7 years of that, there are no rips or tears.
Now I do wash them on gentle cycle. It doesn't have to be 'beaten' so much. - only to freshen it up.
