Simple to read and easy to save money.5
This is the best book that I have ever read about saving money. I even read Suze Orman's books. This one covered so many topics. I was able to resolve a customer service issue that had been going on for months using the techniques. I was even paid by the company for their delay and aggravation. I recently lent it to a friend who used the funeral section. He said, that it simplified the process and he is very sure he saved thousands on the funeral. A MUST HAVE BOOK.

Outstanding Common Sense5
In the beginning, I was a bit skeptical when a friend handed me her copy. I enjoyed the book thoroughly. I'm just graduating from college with some hefty student loans. As I move into the real world workforce, I have a plan for my financial future. I'd never read a personal finance book before, so the only information I had came from my father, who I discovered as I read this book, was just about as clueless as I was. I felt so confident after reading Ellenbogen's book that I plan to give a copy to every family member as gifts. I think they'd all benefit from Ellenbogen's sound and timeless advice.

Worth its weight in gold!5
I give it two thumps up. This is a must have book. It should have been called a "Dummies Guide for Everyday Financial Issues" because it's so simple to understand. It gets right to the point on how to save money. While I found many of the items as common sense, I just did not think of them until a saw the tips. I saved myself lots of aggravation by using the tips not to mention the money I saved around the house. I never thought that all these tips could add up to so much extra money. I also learned a lot about how to negotiate. I could not believe it myself - I saved $22 on a cosmetic case that would have cost $68 all because I read the book and educated myself. It was well worth the price. I have been recommending it to all my friends. My younger sister saved hundreds of dollars, buying a new car, received additional options and she only read one chapter.
