A little HDTV with a big bang for your bucks!5
I been burned before getting a so call hdtv that turns out more to be just a monitor that needs a turner to receive any signals. Not so with this product, it is the real deal. You will find the small Westinghouse model has that built in hdtv turner, still able to receive the older sdtv signals, and got a DVD player inside as well.

I am very impress with the quality of the set. One of the more cooler things is that it shows the strengh of the TV signal, what resolution it is, and the programming of the station at the time. It has all the whistle and dings of its bigger brothers, and a beautiful widescreen picture. A great bedroom set.

Unlike most TV sets I seen, it has its function buttons still on the set. That may not seem a lot to you, but it is murder for those who loses the remote control, and can not do any major changes to the settings. Another plus is the TONS of extra inputs. Two composites, two S-Videos, two components, VGA connection,HDMI, and the standard cable lip. For sound there is support for both digital and analog outputs. I love all the additional inputs because now I don't have to unplug my different video consoles. The PS2, Dreamcast, and Xbox 360 can live in peace.

When you do get to see the old 480 resolution channels next to its superior 720 and 1080 settings, you will see the differences. The local CBS station has both the older sdtv and new hdtv channels. While watching the Late Show, I could see the wood grain on David Letterman's desk, and the fancy lights switches off of Paul's musical instruments on the hdtv channel. On its sdtv brother, everything seems out of focus due to the lack of detail. I not saying sdtv is bad, it more like going from VHS to DVD in picture quality. So it is nice that this set supports both formats for now.

If you are tight on space, this Westinghouse TV set is one that will meet all your needs.

Great TV - DVD Player for the Money5
I received the product and have had a chance to use it for a couple months. The picture quality is good and the DVD player has worked flawlessly so far.

I was skeptical about Westinghouse, as it's not known (as far as I knew) for quality as much as it's low price. I was so impressed I went out and bought a 42" Westinghouse LCD as well and have been VERY pleased with that TV as well.

I would strongly recommend this LCD for the money.

Value HD LCD/DVD combo set5
The Westinghouse SK-26H590D is a 26" LCD HDTV with a built in DVD player. This is an ideal set for a second room. The form factor of this set is also well thought out, allowing this set to be wall mounted with the on-unit controls (power, volume, channel, input selection) and DVD operation still easily within reach.

Regarding the picture: I used the picture tuning/optimization DVD from Digital Video Essentials to set up the picture controls (brightness, contrast, sharpness, color, tint) as well as assessing the picture placement within the confines of the screen. The one takeaway was that after completing the setup, I was able to significantly reduce the level of backlighting. As even in the middle of the range, there was significant picture illumination in low light settings and with daylight. In short I was happy with the outcome of a brief 20 minute set up. The final picture was achieved quickly and easily without excessive back and forth adjustment and the image is very well balanced. I would not go so far as to suggest that this set is at the level of a Sony or similar high-end brands. However in all honesty the pricing of this unit is significantly in its favor when you compare this with other LCDs on the market. The other important consideration is that this is a moderately sized screen 26", which is beneficial in the pixel density and thus the resultant picture quality/detail.

My one criticism is that the power cord is a bit short (6') for wall mounting.
