Tapestry of Sephardic Culture
This author, a noted researcher in the field of creole languages such as yiddish, now turns his attention to "ladino" and its variants.
He considers the social history and surrounding culture that influenced the community of Sephardic Jews, both in Spain and across North Africa.
I believe that Martin Cohen of the hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of religion, in New York, said it best, writing in the American Historical Review (Feb. 1999). "Wexler's insights...may possibly startle some readers but in my opinion, they are soundly and irrefutably presented".
LImited
Using the same rationale we could say that the ashkenaz are from Slavic, German, and Khazar origins but no one has to use this rationale since we have DNA available as a tool. This author needs to join the 21st century.
Racism
This book is profoundly racist. It is surprising to see this modern equivalent to "The Protocols" as the first Amazon match for the term Sefardic. It is very sad & disheartening to know such hatefull propaganda is actively promoted.
