Product Description

"The Wiccan Minister's Manual, A Guide For Priests andPriestesses, " was inspired as a training aid for those who would like tobecome Wiccan Ministers, as well as an aid for Wiccan/Pagan Priests andPriestesses. The Craft is evolving, becoming more and more accepted by society, and there is beginning to be a definite distinction between Wiccan Laity andWiccan Clergy. Part One - Guidance - Making the spiritual connection topersonal deity through love, prayer, meditation, ritual, and myth and how toguide others to create their own personal connections. Part Two - Wiccanreligious philosophy and guidance - How to live a spiritual life in the modernworld. Part Three - various methods of healing mind, body and spirit -Including some legal pit-falls to avoid, plus chapter eleven presents anextensive discourse on Pastoral Counseling. Part Four deals with psychicself-defense and rituals of protection. Including House Clearings, Banishings, and Exorcism. Additionally, the author explains what to look for and what tolook out for while determining if an exorcism is really needed or if the clientis suffering from psychosis and is in need of a professional therapist. PartFive focuses upon the spiritual support roles. It covers, dealing with deathand dying, Funerals, Prison Ministry, Legal requirements of doing Handfastingsin all 50 states, plus a discourse on whether or not to incorporate. This workbegins to fill yet another gap in this area of the Wiccan religious structureas it brings back much of the older knowledge and philosophy that seems to bewaning from the collective Wiccan memory.Reviewed by Edain McCoy; "Kevin, I received my copy of"Wiccan Minister's Manual" It's terrific! You cover everything...Personally, I think you did a great job at making your book useful to alltrads."

About the Author
For much of my life, I have lived and worked in rural areasin tune with the seasons and tides of nature. Even as a child, I recognized thedivine hand in everything that surrounded me. As a country boy, I knew andunderstood that life can only exist through death. I graduated high school in1974, and set out on my own, trying to make my way in the world. Along the wayI discovered the Craft, and like most who are drawn to the Wiccan faith, I knewthat I had always been Wiccan. I just didn't know what it was called. In 1978, I joined the Army Military Police, was stationed inPanama where in November, I helped clean up a mess created by Reverend JimJones. The experience molded me, and showed me how a charismatic religiousleader can lead others down the wrong path. I was forced to take life, and Icame to understand that all of us have that darker nature. Finally coming toterms with my own darkness, I found it was the source of our strength. But itmust be balanced with our light. We all possess the power and capacity to kill, crush and destroy, but when balanced with love and compassion, that power canbe channeled into positive directions. Initiated in 1980, I began teaching and training others in1986, while continuing my own Craft education, study & practice. In 1997, Ibegan teaching more advanced courses and developed a Clergy course for advancedpractitioners in 2006. Early in 2008, I accepted a Bishop's appointment withFour Winds Fellowship, an interfaith organization, and a Clergy position withthe U.S. Federal Prison system. Additionally, I have had articles published inFate, Pan Gaia, Circle & Blessed Bee magazines.

The Wiccan Minister's Manual5
A wonderful and in depth book that covers the very subjects that most of us encounter when trying to integrate everyday life with our belief's.
It covers the subjects of prayer and living in balance as well as approaches to healing ,meditation, protection and service to Craft , Deity , and Community. It also covers a subject sadly left out in most books , that of Death and Dying and how to assist those looking for comfort and council during these difficult times.
A book that would be of great service to all Priests and Priestesses , as well as solitaries looking for guidance on these issues and more.

Wonderful! Well researched! a Must Have5
This book is really great! A first of its kind. It is well researched, and deals with about everything a Pagan Minister may need to know.

Excellent Guide for Wiccan Clergy and Pagan Laity+5
There are quite a few resource books for christian clergymen.Yet,this is an original look for the pagan clergy and the followers. The author ,it should be stated, witnessed the deadly aftermath created by the notorious Reverend Jim Jones of the Jonestown infamy. The author,Kevin Gardner, was a part of an army rescue unit, that recovered the bloated bodies of the zealous christian followers of Jim Jones' San Fransisco church. It should be noted too ,that Rev. Jones favored atheistic Marxism over monotheistic christianity ,yet had few worshippers willing to share in his utopian atheist vision. If history has shown us anything, monotheism has killed more people and destroyed more human societies, than any other concept in human history. And atheistic communism has never been able to destroy the folk-beliefs of the people or remove the individual from the natural environment of Nature. This book shows that Wicca is a credible religion, with accepted rituals and a universal code of conduct for its pagan brethern.A worthwhile reading for all serious followers of the earth-based religion of Wicca.
