Claying a clean surface will remove contaminants from the paint, leaving you a cleaner and smoother surface to polish. If you drop the clay, throw it away. Period. Break up the clay into smaller pieces (2-3 per bar) to have it last longer. Feel your paint before and after, and you'll wonder why you never did this before.

Buy new: $7.99 Microfiber is kind of hit and miss. Really cheap ones can work very well, and expensive ones can be horrible. And vice-versa. Microfiber technology really works - throw one in a pile of mulch and see what I mean. No. Don't. Really. You'll have to throw it away. Microfiber picks up dirt, dust, etc better than anything else I know of. Use after clay, and to apply spray wax or instant detailer.
