Bon Jovi - NJ Rockers Supreme - Best to Not as Good

Keep the FaithKeep the Faith by Bon Jovi
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $4.05
The sound, the songs, the lyrics are all clicking big time. No skips on this one and it doesn't sound dated , even when you listen today (unlike SWW & NJ). Tico really shines here & John's Dry County get's him to Bruce status.
These DaysThese Days by Bon Jovi
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $1.40
Another one that holds up well today. Excellent writing! They sound more like a rock band than the hair/metal band they were. This is kind of like Van Halen's Fair Warning; not a big radio hit album, but one that is SOLID

After "KTF" & "TD" you can go back to the break out years or stay a little more current. I choose the current option and go with Bounce. Again, I prefer the rock sound of this one vs Crush. More RS guitar & Tico drums are a good thing. JB's 9/11 answer is more like Crush on steroids
Have a Nice DayHave a Nice Day by Bon Jovi
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $1.99
This is the one (despite the country overtone looming)where they really try to recapture more of the metal along with the rnr. Some real hard rock efforts here
CrushCrush by Bon Jovi
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $0.80
This gets a lot of votes because of the 5 year hiatus. The boys try and introduce a new sound, but in doing so make it more of a pop offering. Crush would have been a better title for Bounce & vs versa.
Lost HighwayLost Highway by Bon Jovi
Buy new: $12.49 / Used from: $2.47
Not your father's Bon Jovi. Some good song writing, but the edge is gone. Calling this country is a bit extreme but calling it rock is an exaggeration. Let's hope this is nothing more than a slight deviation
New JerseyNew Jersey by Bon Jovi
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $2.99
All the aforementioned reflect what I call the second coming of Bon Jovi. These are now from the first era. Any of these next two can be on someone's Top 5 and in some cases Top 2, but let's be honest here, the sound is definitely dated. I still listen to NJ, it brings back great memories, but I find myself using the skip button.
Slippery When WetSlippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $3.99
Yes, another classic and their break-through, but just like NJ, not all the songs work like they used to. We are talking over 20 years ago. This is NOT a bad thing. Bon Jovi is one of the few bands that have changed/matured with the times. This is what makes them relevant today vs the Motley Crue's of the world. Give them their due!

An OK live offering. I prefer the studio stuff
