A very cool book
I have many books on paint effects and this is one of the best I have seen. The photographs and instructions are very clear and some of the finishes I have never seen before. If you are going to buy one book on faux finishes, this should be it.

Easier methods available
Although I liked the general layout of this book, it fell short in providing actual how-to recipes. I have had this problem with many books on the subject of faux painting. I finally did a little research on the Internet and came across Creative evolution's online "how- to's". Plenty of unique faux finish designs with how-to, step by step instructions made easy. Creative Evolution's free online tutorials can be found at www.creativeevolution.net.
