A "unique repository of inestimable treasures" Shoghi Effendi
The Book of Certitude, by Baháulláh, author of the Baháí Revelation, is arguably one of the most important scriptural works in all of religious history. In it Bahaullah explains the underlying unity of the worlds religions, describes the universality of the revelations humankind has received from the Prophets of God, explains their fundamental teachings, and elucidates allegorical passages from the New Testament and the Qur΄án that have given rise to misunderstandings among religious leaders, practitioners, and the public. Written in the span of two days and two nights, The Book of Certitude is, in the words of its translator, Shoghi Effendi, "the most important book written on the spiritual significance" of the Baháí Faith.

Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly
The Baha'i Faith was founded by Baha'u'llah ("glory of God"), a 19th-century Iranian spiritual leader whom Bah 'is regard as the most recent in a line of great prophets stretching back to Abraham. Bah 'is celebrate nine annual festivals, including the 12-day spring observance of Ridvan (April 21-May 2), commemorating Baha'u'llah's mission on earth, and the Day of Ascension (May 29), marking the anniversary of his passing into immortality. This first-ever trade edition of Baha'u'llah's "Book of Certitude" offers the prolific author's account of the tenets of the faith and the universal mission of all religions. Bah 'u'llah describes the role of prophets throughout history and calls some of his contemporaries to task for promulgating false or self-serving views about religion. The closing pages discuss prophecies of a new age, drawing upon both Christian and Muslim hopes for revelation.

About the Author
Bahá’u’lláh (1817–1892) is the founder of the Bahá’í Faith, the youngest of the world’s independent religions. Bahá’ís regard Him as the most recent in the line of divine Prophets that includes Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Christ, and Muhammad. The central theme of His message is that there is only one God, that all religions worship the same God, and that there is only one human race.

Essential Book for Study of Baha'i Faith
This book, written by the Founder of the Baha'i Faith, Baha'u'llah, is his cheif theological work in which he describes his teaching on the essential unity of religion. It was written in answer to questions put to him on various aspects of prophecy. The book demonstrates the Baha'i teaching on the reconcilation of Jewish, Christian and Muslim scriptures and by implication, the other major religions of the world. Translated by Shoghi Effendi, the great grandson of Baha'u'llah and the Guardian of the Baha'i Faith from 1912 to 1957, it is a masterpiece of English prose. It flows with a kind of poetic style that is hard to describe. Any student of comparative religion will find this book essential in a study of comparative religion or a complete study of the Baha'i teachings. The book is divided into two parts, both of which are not too long but which contain many theological and philosophical issues. It is the cheif theological work of Baha'u'llah, although when viewed relation to his other many writings, gives even more insight into them. Included are many interpreations of Old and New Testament verses, Muslim scripture and tradtions, and concepts common in all sacred texts. While the Book is sacred to members of the Baha'i Faith and provides insight into their teachings, it also is thought provoking for members of many religions can be easily enjoyed by them. I highly recommend as insightful and pleasurable reading.
Simply Amazing
A mind-blowing book to read. The Book of Certitude examines the history of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the station of Messiahhood in the most eloquent and forthright language. Surely a treat and a must read for the spiritual seeker.
A stunning revelation!
That this 19th century man could have written such a masterpiece is nothing short of a miracle. In page after page, Baha'u'llah (the author) reveals where man has gone wrong in understanding God and His purpose.
If you are looking for confirmation of what you already believe, this is not the book for you. Read the book of certitude only if you are ready to forget everything you have ever known about God and His religion. Read this if you are searching for the truth.
I read wide-eyed late into the night, unable to put down the book. Eloquently the words flow like the notes in a symphony, resonating with my heart, shaking off a life-time of error and misinterpretation, and leaving me stunned and numb.
No wonder he was banished and imprisoned. Every paragraph is another nail on the coffin of old and dogmatic religious belief.
Expect to hear a lot of negative reviews from the religious organizations, but for God's sake read it for yourself.
