Gun World: Excellent magazine
I was looking for an alternate publication on firearms, particularly for handguns and gun care in general. Often times I got tired of other, more popular publications of this genre, but those will remain nameless.

What is refreshing about Gun World is that it's a magazine that gets back to the basics. Features on old guns, antiques, new models, special editions, limited editions, safety and a variety of accessories are all right here in every issue. Often times with magazines nowadays you are busy shaking out the subscription cards and plowing through pages of advertisements just to find an article. Gun World has its share of them, but it seems much more dedicated to getting you a variety of articles so that you get what you truly pay for.

A lot of impressive tips from industry experts are also featured. Whether it's improving your aim, learning better methods in cleaning and restoring, or nice, historical articles on firearms of the past, Gun World is top notch. I particularly enjoyed my recent January 2007 issue as it covered a new model of the famous 19ll Colt .45 being made, as well as including a new wall calendar. If you are looking for a magazine that is a good alternative to the sometimes stuffy or specialized firearms magazines, Gun World is worth the money.
