Should do the job
This hammer seems to be relatively "cheaply" made, by the feel of the plastic and the operation of the flashlight switch. However, I put batteries in it and it works fine. The metal hammer heads have a sufficient point on them to convince me they should have no problem breaking the glass. I don't know how "durable" the hammer will be, but the reality is you'll only use it once! So if it works once, it's done it's job--and I think this one will work just fine.

Six Safety Hammers
One gets what they pay for and I ended up repairing all six Emergency Safety Hammers before they would work. Corroded battery and switch contacts from the salt air coming from China was the main culprit. Some day I will finally Learn, "Buy Made-in-the-USA "

Break Through!

I ordered two of the Emergency Safety Hammers along with Denali's 5-Piece Outdoor Utility and Emergency Kit for our vehicles. Although I hope we never have to use the hammers, I am confident they would be life savers in rescuing either myself or others in any emergency situation. The hammer can be mounted within easy reach on your door or stored in the glovebox. If you are travelling, especially in the winter when unexpected fog, snow or ice can cause havoc on the roads, then having the safety hammers is something you might consider investing in. Your life is worth more than the price of this hammer! You could even use it in self defense if need be. Better to be safe than sorry. What you don't have can't help you.
