Love this stuff! Have used it for over 10 years.
This won't change your nail itself that I know of. What it will do is allow you to build up a protective layer over your nail so they are stronger than without, and do this without the damage done with salon nails. If you have a little patience, can paint a coat on fairly reliably, potentially you can have long, stronger nails.
Over 10 years ago I had salon nails and the bother of going, and the expense became more a bother than a treat. When I had them removed the lady told me about Nail Envy. I was skeptical, but my nails were so damaged I tried it and have been hooked since. Paint on two coats to start, add a coat a day, and when they start to look a little tired (every week to 10 days) I remove it all and start over. Unfortunately, when a nail breaks I can't just go have it replaced. Even though it's regrettable, I cut them all down and just start over, knowing in a couple weeks they'll be just as gorgeous. Just knowing I can reliably grow them out makes it no big deal
My nails peel and bend right over without this product. Consequently they rip and break and I can't grow them. With it I grow a nice looking nail that is stronger and actually I have people asking if they are salon nails. You do a double take because they look good, but you just know they aren't artificial. It's like having that lovely look of salon nails, but better because they are not that thick, clumsy, awkward feel. So much more reasonable.
For me, the savings outweighed the times when I have to start over growing my nails. When I see a good price, I'll but 10 - 15 bottles and just save them till I go through them. Last time I did that it got me through 2+ years, and that's with my two daughters sporadically using it, and giving a bottle here and there away to my daughter for her to use at her home.

I love nail envy, I cook all the time, wash pots and pans, clean my house, take care of the garden and I actually have nails. I throw a coat on when ever I have time and take it off every week or so. works out great. no fuss, no muss, but really I actually have nails after weak, chipped thin stubs for years. I don't even nibble on 'em! I use a coat of sticky base coat on my bare nails first.
