Martin Yan's ideas on preparation of sauces in advance are wonderful, easy, and delicious. His advise on stocking your pantry is essential in preparing his recipes. My family and I have tried several recipes in this book and we find them easy and delicious.

Good so far!
There is a good variety of recipes, and most of the ingredients are easy to find in regular grocery stores. I recommend the red and gold rice. It's easy and quite satisfiying!

Mr. Yan's book is exactly what any cook needs to learn how to cook chinese simple foods and it is great the way he divided the book and provided sauces sepoaratele from everything else.
