About the Author
Gail Wagman was born and grew up in Washington, D.C. but has lived in France for most of her adult life. She currently lives in the south of France where she opened a restaurant with her husband in a medieval village some 20 years ago. Le Micocoulier became one of the most popular restaurants in the Languedoc-Roussillon, famous for its fusion cooking and its wide variety of homemade desserts, Gail's specialty. She has co-authored a book for MQ Publications, Far Out, and continues to indulge her passion for baking and chocolate while working as a scientific translator and teacher. She is looking forward to introducing the cupcake as a new edible art form in France!

Worth the money4
So far, I have only tried 5 or 6 recipes in this book, but they all turned out well. The root beer cupcakes and margarita cupcakes were huge hits when I brought them to a party, and I have had repeated requests to make them since. What I like about this book is the very creative recipes, and mostly good decorating ideas. Only drawback is that some of the decorated cupcakes look like a 5-year-old decorated them. Other than that, great book that has inspired me to come up with my own creations.

Amazing photos4
I'll start by sharing what I love about this book.

I love that there are photos for every single recipe, which is a HUGE advantage.

I also love that there are unique varities for use in a cupcake. There is a whole section of adult cupcakes: liquor! yum!

I have tried quite a few recipes and its a toss up between edible and good. I haven't tried one that is great yet, but i do have a whole book to get through!

Love this cookbook!5
I got this book for my birthday last year, and have cooked many recipes out of it. It ranges from simple to exotic, and is divided conveniently into the following sections: Grandma's Favorites, Kid's, After Dinner, Gourmet, Holiday, and "Cupcakes Plus," which are other desserts made into cupcakes.

I have yet to strike out! My absolute favorites are the Midnight Madness, After Eight (Chocolate Mint), and Deep Dish Apple Pie. I get so many compliments when I cook out of this book, and it garners a sense of sophistication while still being easy to bake. They also can be altered easily without messing anything up.

If you're looking for a cupcake cookbook, I would definitely recommend this one or 125 Cupcakes!
