Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com Review
Hanging from a 36-inch strap, this timer provides clock, timer, and stopwatch capabilities, allowing you to keep track of culinary delights along with your 6-minute mile. It measures up to 10 hours, and you'll use it to time a Thanksgiving turkey while letting the 30-second alarm remind you when it's time to return to the kitchen. Magnetically mountable, freestanding, or hanging from the 36-inch-long chord, this timer can be placed wherever necessary. When not in use as a timer, it may be used as a convenient 24-hour clock or a stopwatch that tracks up to 23:59:59. --Madeleine Miller

Simple and functional
This product does exactly what it says. It's a clock (the least useful things it does), a count-up timer, and a count-down timer.
Carrying it around is a great idea, though the string could be a little longer.
One thing not mentioned in most reviewes is that all three functions operate simultaenously, that is you can time two functions at once, as well as looking at the clock..
Highly recommended.
Great, but not perfect
I like timers where you can enter in the exact time using numbers instead of repeatedly pressing a minute button. These types of timers are surprising hard to find in stores.
This timer is great because of its portability. However, there are a few very small ergonomic details that could be improved.
1. The buttons are very tiny.
2. When the alarm sounds, you cannot simply mash down on any button to get the beeping to stop, you have to press the very small stop button.
3. The button numbers are written next to the buttons instead of directly on the buttons, which causes me to occasionally associate a number with the wrong button.
I would certainly recommend this timer to others.
Ideal for the multi-tasking cook!
Finally, a small, portable, intelligent timer for someone like me who runs all over the house while the cookies are in the oven, and who can't even hear a normal oven timer in the next room. The push-button controls are intuitive, the beeper attention-grabbing but not obnoxious, and the overall convenience of the item just wonderful. Re-setting the timer for a few extra minutes of cooking is quick and simple. The LCD digits are large for easy reading. The combination of clock with timer with stop-watch is easy to negotiate.
One VERY useful feature, at least for this cook: the beeper goes on forever until one physically stops it. No more hearing the oven timer alarm and then promptly forgetting it.
One LITTLE nuisance: the magnet is necessarily on one end (the right end, away from the display), so that very quickly the device is hanging by its end rather than horizontally. This results in the display and touch-button array turned perpendicular and a bit harder to read or manipulate. A slightly stronger and/or even more elongated magnet would probably solve that. Is the manufacturer listening?
I bought this for my mother for Christmas, but since I cook far more than she does....
