Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
This multipurpose thermometer takes the guesswork out of cooking meats and poultry and starting yeast for breads and other baked goods. Its 3-inch face measures temperatures from 105 to 185 degrees F. The face displays a guide for proper meat, poultry, and yeast temperatures. The thermometer is made of stainless steel, has a 3-1/2-inch stem, and is dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

Customer Reviews

replacement4
I replaced one I had that was over 35 years old. Well made to last all that time.

I didn't like it.2
I don't understand why all the reviews for this thermometer are good. The numbers/indicators on the thermometer began to peel off after I put it in the dishwasher. I had to throw it away. Maybe I just got a bad one.

Great Meat Thermometer5
I bought a Taylor meat thermometer years ago when I first got married. Back then, the little stick part that goes into the meat was made of glass. After 30 years of use, it finally broke. I looked around locally for a replacement, but couldn't find one. I found this new thermometer at Amazon and it's better than the old one (if that's possible). The little stick part that goes into the meat is now made of metal (stainless steel?) It's really strong. I'm sure I'll have this one for another 30 years.
