Amazon.com Review
Ideal for both bare floors and low-pile carpets, this upright bagless vacuum has low noise output and 1,450 watts and 12 amps of power. The Cyclone Jet’s two motors operate two different functions: one runs the vacuum cleaner and the other runs the 13-inch brush rolls, which are useful for the dirtiest cleaning jobs. The brush rolls are gear-driven on lifetime belts that will never need replacing. Other cleaning features of the Cyclone Jet include a detachable wand and a 9-foot hose that stretches to get into corners and hard-to-reach spots. Four additional accessories--a dusting brush, a crevice tool, and a 360-degree tool for cleaning stairs and upholstery--are stored onboard the vacuum.

The Cyclone Jet’s HEPA filter ensures the most hygienic disposal of dirt and debris into the vacuum’s 2-quart dust container. A level mark shows when the container is ready to be emptied and the process is simple. The Cyclone Jet’s 24-1/2-foot cord provides a lot of length before having to plug it into a new outlet and the machine’s spring-loaded, automatic cord winder rewinds the cord at the touch of a button. At only 17-1/2 pounds, this compact vacuum is portable and easy to maneuver. --Cristina Vaamonde

Constantly clogged2
I almost feel like a vaccuum repair person, b/c thats how much ive had to stop vaccumming and unclog this unit. First its heavy, top and bottom. The head part doesnt stay in one position, so its easy to roll it from rug to rug and the head falls, stopping the unit. The motor gets overheated a lot, turning off the unit but the light stays on. I have to wait for it to cool off, then use it again. The main hose behind the head, gets clogged and i use a chopstick to get it out. The accessory hose gets clogged where the hose meets the bagless part. overall, save your $300 and trust me buy a DYSON, or something else. I use my non-electric carpet sweeper more than I use this!!!
I have one indoor dog (toy size) and it gets clogged on fine debris like sand and dust. I have owned it for four years and am saving to junk it and buy something else!

Apparently Dirt Devil i everclean at Costco is the same as the Bosch4
It looks like Dirt Devil bought the Bosch BUC 11700UC upright bagless vacuum technology from Bosch. They call it the Dirt Devil i Everclean. That may be why it is out of stock as a Bosch product (check Amazon for Dirt Devil i Everclean vacuum and compare the specs). Also see www.costco.com for a better internet offer. Look at the picture - check the specs - seems identical. [...]My Hoover just bit the big one after the metal cable that controls the drive ripped (huh? This is like a bicycle brake cable - shouldn't rip after 2 years of light use?) - too heavy to push around without the drive ... Hope this bit of info helps!

German Engineering huh ?2
Let me just start by saying that I am a German engineering fan; and it's probably the main reason I took a stab at this vacuum cleaner. Having owned it now for about 1 year though, I can only give it 2 stars. The first thing you will notice when you get it home and start vacuuming is that it can be very difficult to push on carpet(even with the brushes turned on)...MUCH harder than my previous upright (a Panasonic). My most recent issue was a burning smell which, after taking apart the head (12 screws), turned out to be a burnt belt (cogged no less) ... It turns out that the belt was unable to move the agitator/brush roller as it was stuck in place. I carefully removed all the crud and cat hair from around the agiator/brush roller and tried to turn it without the belt attached ... no luck. I then removed and examined the roller and it's bearings ... the bearing end near the belt was made of metal but the other end was completely made of plastic (no bearing whatsoever). This end refused to turn and seemed frozen in place ... I finally sprayed it with some WD-40 and loosened it up but I doubt this solution will last long. Suffice to say, the agitator/brush roller will most likely need to be replaced completely and is certainly not made to stand up to years of use. Not my idea of great German engineering... I think I'll stick to Panasonic next time .... my old one is still running well.
