Amazon.com Review
Meet practically every kitchen need with this multipurpose handheld blender: crush ice, purée soups, blend smoothies, chop onions without tears, mince herbs and spices, beat egg whites, whip cream, mash potatoes, and more. The powerful 400-watt, 5-speed motor comes with a variety of blades and attachments, including a whisk and measuring beaker with airtight lid. A turbo switch is especially helpful for chopping hard foods, such as chocolate, nuts, and Parmesan cheese. All parts are made of either stainless steel or durable plastic and, except for the motor and the gear box, are dishwasher-safe. The helpful instruction booklet illustrates various combinations of parts. The blender is covered by a one-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

wonderful product
This blender is so easy to use and so virsital. I have used it right in the pan to make homemade soup. The only thing that I don't like is holding it after a few minutes it starts to hurt your hand. I have to switch hands alot but over all it is perfect...
My favorite small kitchen appliance
I have had my Braun Multiquick for 5-6 years now, and it's still my go-to gadget. I haven't bothered buying a standalone blender or food processor because this does the job of both without taking up nearly the space. The two chopper bowls are excellent for chopping nuts, onions, etc, or for whirring up a quick pesto or salsa. The ice chopper is great for frozen drinks. Of course, the standard blender stick can't be beat for milkshakes. And your shake doesn't melt while your busy washing a big bulky blender pitcher; you can just quickly rinse the stick and enjoy your shake. I'm not sure that I've used the whisk attachment since an old-fashioned whisk is just as easy. If I were beating egg whites I might try it, but I'd probably use my KitchenAid stand mixer anyway since I'd likely be using it for the rest of a recipe anyway. I also wouldn't recommend this for heavy doughs.
Broken and disposable
I had less than one year's use with this product and it broke - and I mean light use. It broke when I was was grinding parmesan cheese. It's obviously a disposable item, as i can't find a source to fix it. And I paid $20 more than it is being offerd for now. I'm going back to more manual ways of doing things.
