Get this steel edged version!
These Microplane graters are wonderful, and I only recommend the Professional versions. If you use your graters a lot, the plastic edges of the cheaper versions will eventually break, so spend the extra few dollars and get this steel edged Professional version to start with. I just replaced two plastic edged graters myself because they broke within nine months.

Perfect grater!
This is a perfect grater, several classes better than the one with the plastic handle (I had that first, but the handle couldn't bear the force and broke).
This one has no such problems and the rubber anti-slip band helps a lot.

Does what it should
The Microplane Course Grater is very much what I expected. It's very sharp and easy to use. It demolishes whatever you decide to grate with it: firm cheese, garlic, ginger, onions, carrots, or even your fingers.
