Pineapple corer does the job
Overall, this product works very well. There is some waste on the bigger pineapples, but in return you retain all the juice and most of the pineapple is sliced quickly.

Some pros, some cons
The pros:
1. Your pineapple is sliced and ready to eat in about a minute. 2: Kids love to drink the leftover juice in the shell with a straw or I fill it with supplement juice if they want more. 3. The shell would be great to use for drinks for a tropical party theme.

The cons of the pineapple slicer are:
1. The slices are not very attractive if you want to use them for guests. It cores the pineapple in a curling fashion so the slices are thin and round. Essentially, they look like you just took them out of a can.
2. The slicer is only one size, so if you get a pineapple that is large a lot of the "meat" is left behind and is difficult to get out.

In all, the slicer is a great tool if you are looking for something quick and easy. The slicer is not great if you are looking to display the fruit for guests.

Pineapple Slicer is a Whiz!
Vacu Vin's Pineapple Slicer is very easy to use and leaves a nice hull for a fancy drink or serving piece. The slicer and a pineapple make a nice hostess gift, and can be made to look festive enough for holiday or special occasion "gifting" for very few dollars. Thumbs up! I don't think you'll be disappointed.
