Take time for tea with Kitchenaid's stylish Gourmet Essentials teakettle, featuring a 2-quart capacity and bright porcelain exterior that's both tough and easy to clean. This stainless steel teakettle has a triple-ply base for fast, even heating and measures 8 inches in diameter. The phenolic handles stay cool even when the water is at the boil, and are further protected by a heat-resistant silicone padding that also offer a firm grip.
Customer Reviews
Not happy
I have had the worst luck with this tea kettle. It is very cute and looks great on the stove, but there are so many problems with it that I threw it away this morning. First of all, neither the lid nor the spout fit tightly, so steam escapes around the lid, making it hard to grasp the handel and pour the water. Speaking of pouring the water, it pours terribly. Maybe I should have filled the kettle more, but I don't like to wait to boil more water than I need. You have to tilt the kettle so much to get any water out of it. It sputters a lot too. And last week it stopped whistling altogether. I've had it about 3 months. I guess looks aren't everything!
Great! I love it! Best price on the internet!
The red tea kettle add so much to my red, white and black kitchen, It is very high tech, and I love it, it goes well with my red fan, too. And the price is the lowest on the net. It's $49.99 all over the net. It works well too, and great styling.
Looks great, love the handle
After using this kettle, I decided to buy other cookware in this KitchenAid Red line. I especially like the way the handle remains cool to the touch. And no, despite other reviews, it does not drip when I use it.
