Amazon.com Review
This KitchenAid professional model efficiently tackles heavy loads with its 350-watt motor and bowl-lift lever that effortlessly raises heavy ingredients up to the beater. KitchenAid stand mixers, constructed of durable die-cast metal, come in a variety of colors and styles that have become American classics. With a choice of ten speeds and three attachments--flat beater, spiral dough hook, and stainless-steel wire whip--the mixer handles everything from egg whites to meat loaf to pizza dough. Rather than rotating the bowl, KitchenAid stand mixers feature a fixed bowl with a unique mixing action: the beater spins clockwise as the shaft spins counter-clockwise, thus projecting the beater to 67 different points inside the 5-quart stainless-steel bowl. The bowl features a handle as well as two brackets that fit over support pins on the stand mixer. For safety, the mixer shuts down if an object obstructs the mixing process or if overloading occurs. The bowl, beater, and dough hook are dishwasher-safe. The mixer measures 16-1/2 by 12 by 14 inches. --Ann Bieri

Kitchenaid Mixer
Works great and costs only a fraction of an "off the shelf" mixer. Remember this is a PRO series mixer with all the beefier parts inside!
Love it nearly as much as I love my mother.
I've had the RRKP50 for approx. four months, and it has got more use than any other appliance I've ever had. It stirs, beats, whips, and kneads with a will!! Its ability to knead even the most stiff of doughs is reason enough to purchase it. I make a lot of pasta, and every week I make at least one batch of challah and the time and energy it saves me is incredible. The price of the reconditioned model is wonderful, the shipping was free, and one could never tell that it is a reconditioned model. The one thing I would suggest is to purchase the plastic guard thingy that goes over the mixing bowl, as you and your counters WILL be nailed by clouds of flour when mixing a recipe with a lot of dry ingredients.
Love my new stand mixer!!
The day it came I got out my hardest to mix up cookie recipe that I make at Christmas time - it usually takes me 45 min to an hour to get all the ingredients mixed up well. I was able to get the dough ready to drop on the cookie sheets within 15 minutes. I have never made home made bread before, I tried a couple recipes in the cookbook that was included and it came out perfect. I absolutely love this machine, I was trying to decide where I could store it, it is quite heavy so anything over my head where all my other countertop appliances are is out of the question. Since I use it a couple times a week and it is soooo pretty I just leave it out. It was an incredible value, I saw a Kitchenaid on sale at WalMart for the same price - it was only 3 qt (mine is 5) the motor is only 250 watts (mine is 400) so I definitely got the better value. The warrenty is good for only 6 months instead of 12 so make sure you use all the features and attachments as soon as possible. I don't think you will find anything wrong with it, mine is as good as new!
