Prestretched Canvas...We have tried many brands of prestretched canvas; and we have listened to customer feedback as well. One brand that keeps coming out on top is Winsor & Newton. Their prestretched canvases are made with 8oz natural cotton duck. The stretcher bars are 13/16 inch deep and feature staple free edges- the canvas is stapled onto the back of the stretcher bars so the edges can be painted to display finished paintings with or without framing. Each canvas is triple primed with acid free sizing and two coats of highly pigmented acrylic primer (gesso). This priming offers balanced absorbency and tooth while preventing oil paints from sinking or soaking through. The stretcher bars themselves are kiln dried and have beveled edges. Each canvas is stretched by hand and there is ample canvas on the back if you should decide to restretch the finished painting. Ideal for use with oil acrylic and alkyd paints. Not as described
I ordered this product, thinking there were six canvases for the price, as the description states "perhaps best of all, we are offering this in packages of 6", and the picture shows 6 canvases. This in INCORRECT. If you miss the one line technical description, as I unfortunately did, they only ship ONE canvas for the price. I suggest you save yourself some money and purchase (2) 11x14 canvases at your local Michael's store for $5.99, as opposed to wasting $13 (after shipping) on one measely canvas from this companhy. POOR SELLING DESCRIPTION on the part of this store!!!!!!

I regret this purchase
Was very disappointed because only part of the order came, and the seller was unwilling to admit this was a problem. The discrepancy seems to rest in what appears to be a cleverly placed ad. The photo shows SIX canvases. The description states it is sold/offered in an pack of SIX. The other reviewer also states he/she receives these in packs of SIX. As such, I was expecting SIX as who in their right mind would pay over $13 (incl. $7+ s/h)for a single small canvas when the same can be purchased at a local arts n' craft store for a fraction of the cost?! My order came as a SINGLE canvas, and when I contacted seller to see what happened to the rest, he pointed out to me less visible portion of the ad which solely said "1 canvas." As the more full and bolder description was above it, the impression I got was that what he was describing was 'a' canvas so the buyer knows what to expect when the pack of 6 arrives. After all, no sense in describing all 6 when they would be the same thing. I do think the ad is either deceptive,or not as clearly written as it could be. The photo is also inaccurate, should only show ONE canvas is that is all he is offering. If the canvas was sold as the 6 pack, I would mark it as a good deal, but at over $13 (incl. s/h) for ONE? I would expect higher quality than what was sent me.
