Customer Reviews
Heavy Duty. Second One We've Owned. This One's A Winner!
My son had this exact backpack & my daughter used it before that. He is a Safety Patrol so it has been kicked daily by children, dragged through snow and ice to & from school. Heavy duty. It opens up to more than twice its size.
Again, it's been through heavy high school books and then through elementary school books, ice, wind, rain, being kicked, used as a seat, etc.
After 7 years of daily use by my daughter and then son, it was backed over by a truck (during safety patrol) which broke the telescoping handle. My son still used it but I replaced it with the exact one at Christmas.
I looked all over for the exact same backpack and found it right here. Seven years ago, I originally purchased it at either JC Penney, Lazarus or Kohls. I know I paid even more when I purchased the original one so I was very excited to get it for only $29.99.
If you want a heavy duty backpack that you can depend on to carry loads of heavy books, you've found it. It should last you for many years.
Terrible
i HATE this bag. it's front heavy so it's constantly falling down. in addition, the fabric has torn close the the bottom seam of this bag and the zippers stick. i've used it for 3 months for nursing school and am already looking for a new bag.
About average
We've only had it for a month, so it's a little early to review durability. It seems well made. It's front heavy so it doesn't stand up well with anything inside it (ad picture indicates it stands up vertical; actually has a 20 degree tilt. After closer inspection for this review, the tilt is due to intentional flattening for packaging/shipping. Too early to say if the flattening will correct itself). The 'locks' on the telescoping handle are weak, so the handle tends to collapse if you try to maneuver the backpack at all.
