Not for nighttime reading!

I do not recommend that you read this book at night unless you have nerves of steel. Ms. Mayne has outdone herself with this book. Someone should make it a movie! Very frightening, funny and twisted. I could picture everything and having been to Daytona Beach, I could follow it as if I was back there again. I couldn't put the book down and neither will you!

Also recommended: Mirror Murder and Silver Tales Book One..actually anything that this woman writes should be read!

Talk about crazy..
The "perp" in this story is a real nut case. We never really learn why he's so obsessed with grandmother.....and as far as a newspaper reporter moving in with the "Streeters", I find that completely unbelievable. You'll keep on reading though just to find out how in the world this story will end. Don't worry about having nightmares from this book....it gos beyond scary to bordering on ridiculous......I gave it four stars because it is ...in spite of all my comments...an entertaining read.

A TOP THRILLER!!
I just loved this new novel by Ms. Mayne! Her first novel, Mirror Murder, was excellent but this new thriller is off the charts! I recommend this novel to all murder fans out there who like twist endings! As seems to be her style, Screams From The Furnace is a fast-paced, sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller! You won't be able to put it down!
