Customer Reviews
Some of the best punk rock in years
Polar Bear Club's full-length debut comes on the heels of the highly-acclaimed EP, The Redder, The Better. The EP showed tons of promise, and Sometimes Things Just Disappear lives up to it. Comparisons to bands like Hot Water Music are inevitable - but that's not a bad thing. PBC shows their influences but adds their own flavor to the mix. Heartfelt lyrics, clean and gruff vocals, mixed with inventive guitar makes for a really emotional listen. There are plenty of sing-a-long moments, but the songs never fall into the trap of being poppy or trite.
To quote As 'Twere The Mirror - "learn something, feel something, think something new." Polar Bear Club is a breath of fresh air. Let's hope that this is just the beginning.
