give it a chance
alot of kids who were really into not one word (including me) didn't really give this album the chance it deserves. it's a really really good album every song is good except for the piano track ghosts over japan. these guys are incredibly talented and this album deffinetly shows that off. the guitar work has improved immensly, the drumming is still amazingly good, and the new singer is wwwwwaaaayyyy more diverse. his lows are way better and his singing voice is pretty good and his overall scream is good. if you're not into it at first just give it a good uninterupted listen and then judge it. if you're into ed gein, the red chord, ion dissonance, into the moat, the chariot then i recomend this album.

Okay, enough with my 1337 speak, now let's get to the CD. This CD is amazing technical deathcore music. It tends to steer away from the more generic side of modern metalcore and blends in elements of early metalcore (think Converge or 7 Angels 7 Plagues), along with technical death metal and grindcore as well.

This is a great debut full-length for an up-and-coming band. For fans of bands like The Red Chord, Between The Buried and Me, Through The Eyes of the Dead, Animosity, Psyopus, Premonitions of War, and many more. Recommended.

Acquired Taste
I didn't like this album at first and I absolutely hated Not One Word. When I listened to the album the first time, it just gave me a headache and I dismissed it as just harsh noise. But I did feel like the album was better than I thought. Mostly because I really enjoyed the intro and the way it blended so well with the first track. So I thought there was more to this album than I thought.

After a couple more listens I really grew into the music. Especially after listening to A Piece of History a few times. This is an excellent album. It's very artistic and the lyrics are fantastic. In fact, I really enjoyed listening to the music while reading the lyrics.

Give it a couple of listens. If you can't stand it after that, I wouldn't bother trying to get into it. But if you do get into, you'll see how creative and damn good the album is.
