Customer Reviews

seeing the movie not a requirement...4
...but it DOES help, unless you like unusual music. without being "experimental," the music on this disc pushes some boundaries - mainly in the "quirky" field, but is overall very accessable. it also covers a lot of ground, at times sounding like eric serra, and others like django reinhardt playing with don byron. while trying to describe it to a friend who hadn't seen the movie, I called it "music from the 30's... if someone in the 30's was composing what they thought music would sound like in 75 years." it's definently worth a listen, but seeing the movie puts it in context a little. it holds up on its own very well though.

For those that like their music beautifully bizarre. This soundtrack is comprised mostly of circus music and jazz! One of my personal favorites is Mrs. Bagwell's Rhumba, it's entertaining and catchy! This soundtrack may also be used as background music to get your creative juices flowing. Personally, I listen to it as I paint or draw, and interesting results follow. It's also nice to relax to. See what it can do for you! =^^= And if you haven't, be sure also to see the superb movie it accompanied! o(^^)9

A fantastic movie with an equally wonderful score. From the opening circus-y feel to the jazz vibe through out is quite different and appealing from the usually movie score fare. The highlight is the remake of the Carpenters "Close to You". Very odd and Beautiful.
