Action packed anime style dungeon-crawler RPG. It doesn't get much better than this.
Resident Evil 4Resident Evil 4

Like playing a watercolor painting. Has to be seen to be believed.
Shadow of the ColossusShadow of the Colossus

by the same team as Ico, another brilliant dreamy adventure game. Gorgeous in progressive scan mode!
Valkyrie Profile 2: SilmeriaValkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria
Buy used from: $20.79
Another side scrolling RPG, deep, tough and hard to beat, but one of the best combat systems ever by SquarEnix
Odin SphereOdin Sphere
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $17.97
A side scrolling storybook fantasy. Beautiful visuals and alot of arcade fun to play.
Dark Cloud 2Dark Cloud 2
Buy used from: $11.45
Huge cel-shaded action RPG, incorporating Sim-style town building and endless weapon customization. Lots to do, and alot of fun.
Final Fantasy X-2Final Fantasy X-2
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $3.99
The 'Girly-Girl' sequel to Final Fantasy X rocks. Open ended quest system + blazing fast combat with the ability to swap out character classes in combat made this a personal fave. Same world as X, but alot lighter and alot more fun.
Grandia IIIGrandia III
Buy used from: $19.95
This game didn't get the hype that 2 did, doesn't have all the retroactive side quests that the FF series has made so popular, but it's still a solid, involving RPG with a great combat system.
GRAND THEFT AUTO SAN ANDREAS FOR PLAYSTATION 2GRAND THEFT AUTO SAN ANDREAS FOR PLAYSTATION 2
Buy used from: $13.90
Thuggin was never so much fun. And arguably, a better game than IV. Realism's fine, but nothing beats having a car explode from kicking it a few times. And, more side quests than almost any game out there. And it's huge. HUGE.
GhosthunterGhosthunter
Buy used from: $7.50
A sleeper hit, and a must play in progressive scan on a big TV.
IcoIco
Buy used from: $30.00
A work of art, saving a princess never felt so personal.
Shadow Of DestinyShadow Of Destiny
Buy new: $8.19 / Used from: $2.90
A really neat old sleeper title, deals with love and revenge and time-travel. Stopping your character from getting murdered by going back into the past is a great gameplay gimmick, besides making subtle changes to the town. Slow and talky, but a really unique game, nonetheless.
