Product Description

A collection of farm patterns—including farmers, harvesting tools, hay and vegetable fields, and barn occupants—this handbook contains fun and innovative designs. Knitters can create smaller, individual projects with one or two farming articles or can combine them for a rug, sweater, or handbag that represents the entire homestead. A great way to use smaller, colorful scraps of leftover wool, these delightful farm patterns are perfect for knitters at any skill level.

The Ultimate Knit-Nut's Project4
Sparse instructions tell how to knit farm buildings, little people, cows, sheep, chickens and other animals. All can be displayed (or played with) upon a 4 foot by 2 foot knit or cross stitched "farm yard" complete with fields, a pond, trees, vegetables and flowers. The concept is delightful. For experienced knitters with lots of roll ends.

Okay, but really only an excerpt from a better book3
This book is okay, with cute knitted projects and decent descriptions of making armatures, but all of it is also printed in Jan Messent's Knit a Fantasy Story (Search Press Classics). I got both at the same time and was disappointed (having ordered before someone else pointed this out in a review). I too will be giving away this version, but keeping the much more thorough Messent book.

I would recommend this only for people who can't get the Messent book. The latter has significantly more content relative to the price.

Great Project5
I can't believe I made the whole thing! I started when my granddaughter was two and finished before she turned three. I don't know who loves it more. The piggies are the cutest. The cows are too funny. Great fun!
