Product Description

During a war for control of Earth's orbital elevator, Kei Katsuragi detonated a Super Dimensional Bomb, which shattered the barrier between the alternate dimensions of Earth, and collected them together piecemeal. In addition to the dimensional chaos, a giant barrier appeared around the earth, sealing it, causing rapid global warming and the eventual extinction of all realties on Earth. Kei and his wing-mate Olson are the only ones who can revert the Earth back to normal because they were in the focal point of the blast. They are dubbed the Ideoblasts and are thrusted into a chaotic world where the peoples of alternate realities battle each other to capture them so that they can harness the power of the dimensional bomb and ensure their races respective survival.

Customer Reviews

Great packaging, good video quality, poorly translated.2
I have a copy of this version of Super Dimension Century Orguss because for the longest time it was the only version of the complete series I could find.

The packaging is very well done and it's on par with any official release I've seen and the video quality is decent too. Unfortunately the subtitles are so badly written that it makes the plot nearly incomprehensible. It's quite clear that English is not the first language of whomever the translator was and that they were not very fluent in English at the time that they wrote the subtitles. I never really got very far before just giving up because I couldn't understand what was going on.

With no official release of this complete series anywhere on the horizon you may have to look for a fansub to get a decent translation of this series. There are some out there and it's a good show which I recommend but I wouldn't buy these DVDs unless you just want them for the raw footage and the nice packaging.
