Wi-Pics Mobile is an advanced solution for the professional photographer designed to allow the photographer to Data Associate (at point of capture) and transmit their image files wirelessly, and securely, to a remote system, editing station, printer, etc., via UNC or FTP protocols. Data Association is the ability to embed data from a barcode or mag-strip reader into the User Comments and/or Image Description sections of the EXIF Header of the JPEG file. In addition, there are three User Defined Fields that can be populated with any type of information the photographer requires to track or locate their images, such as Photographer Name, Location, Date, Team, Event, etc. The information entered into the User Defined Fields is also stored in the EXIF Header. Image files can automatically be renamed using the barcode or mag-strip data and/or the information contained in any or all of the User Defined Fields (in any order the user chooses), prior to being transmitted wirelessly. Wi-Pics Mobile!TM requires no modification of camera hardware or firmware and does not impact camera performance. Wi-Pics Mobile! allows the photographer to Data Associate (at point of capture) and transmit their image files securely via a wireless network connection, to a remote system, editing station or printing station.

Wi-Pics Mobile! Data Association
Data Association is the ability to embed critical search data into the EXIF header of the image file and also to automatically rename the image file (at point of capture) using any or all of that data, in any order you choose.

Three User Defined Fields are available. Each can be populated with any type of information the photographer requires to track or locate their images, such as Photographer Name, Location, Date, Team, Event, etc. All information is stored into the Image Description or User Comments sections (or both) of the EXIF header of the image file and can also be used to automatically rename the image files (at point of capture). If the photographer chooses, Wi-Pics Mobile! can also be configured to transmit the image files securely via a wireless network connection.

Image files can also be Data Associated utilizing an optional barcode scanner or mag-strip reader. Again, this information is also stored in the EXIF header and can also be used in the renaming of the image files.

Wi-Pics Mobile! features a small, light and compact design that mounts under the camera with a custom designed bracket that allows easy movement and does not impede the photographer or camera performance. An optional Quick-Draw Hip-Mount is also available.

Sample Wi-Pics Mobile! workflow
To better explain Wi-Pics Mobile!, here is a brief description of a typical Wi-Pics Mobile! workflow:

Scenario: It's a beautiful day and Mom and Dad decide to take the family to the local park for some fun. At the park, little Johnny wants to have his picture taken with the parks big furry mascot.

• As little Johnny runs up and hugs the mascot, the photographer scans a barcode on a pre-printed card and begins shooting images of little Johnny with the mascot.
• After shooting a series of images, the photographer hands the preprinted barcode card to little Johnny’s Mom or Dad and directs the family over to the photo booth where Mom and Dad can purchase their photo of little Johnny.
• At the photo booth, the attendant scans the barcode card given to the family.
• The photos of little Johnny with the mascot are displayed on the screen for the family to view.
• Mom and Dad select the photo they would like to purchase.
• The attendant prints the photo and completes the sale.

As the photographer was shooting, the image files were renamed with the barcode information and wirelessly transmitted by Wi-Pics Mobile! to the photo booth. This allowed the attendant to quickly find, display and print the photos to complete the sale.

Wi-Pics Mobile! improves the workflow of the photographer by:
