Yo-Ho-Ho and A Crappy Little Disappointment2
I ordered it for my 9-year old daughter as a Christmas present. Yikes! The book (?) is more like a "2nd grade reader" from elementary school with a hard cover. The illustrations are quite nice and the layout is inventive but not nice enough to justify this price. What a B-U-M-M-E-R of a craptastic pamphlet-book. I "get it" that this is one of a series of books. Fine. Package them all together and charge $24.99 for the set. The book-pamphlet is 32 pages long (with a large font!) and that includes a brief glossary and an index (which is totally unnecessary with such a truncated effort - sort of like putting an index on the back of a cereal box!). Is Capstone Press pulling a fast one? Aye, me mateys, aye. Argh.
